Works

 

                     John 14:15 

             If ye love me, keep my          commandments.

 

     No one is going to slip along and slide into those gates of pearl.  It will take effort to learn the will of the Lord in His Word. Those snares of

the devil will have to be met with a solid “thus saith the Lord.”  It will take effort to flee from the surrounding temptations that separate us from Jesus.

 

     Just as Jesus came here to live and show us how to resist evil and do good works, we are to follow His example and walk with Him so we can walk into heaven with Him as Enoch did.

      John 15:10 

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

     

     1 John 5:2 

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

 

      Galatians 2:16

 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

    

      James 2:18

 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.

     

     James 2:22 

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

    

      Matthew 16:27

 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

 

      2 Corinthians 11:15 

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

 

           John 6:28
